From Assistant Principal Simone Anderson:

We are honored to announce that the winner of the 2016 Future Global Leaders Scholarship Award is our very own Asha Pappajohn. Asha is a senior at SWWHS. Through Wall’s Global Issues Network club, Asha found her calling for international affairs. She has since become the outreach director for the club, encouraging other students to become globally minded, become deputy head delegate of her school’s Model U.N. (MUN) team, and taken her vision abroad by volunteering in Paraguay. For her project, Asha created FrancisMUN, an MUN club for junior high school students at Francis Stevens Educational Campus. She won a $10,000 scholarship. She plans to attend the University of California, Berkeley in the fall of 2016.
