Walls girls soccer game playoff

A spirited group of parents and fellow Penguin students cheered the Walls girls soccer team last week in the District of Columbia high school girls championship against Wilson High School.

Despite a valiant effort, the Walls team lost to Wilson 6-0, though that meant that the team came in 2nd citywide. A very impressive season!

The team was led by a core group of seniors who provided leadership and guidance. Under Coach Jean Wadale, the Walls girls compiled an impressive string of victories this fall.

Although there was some grumbling among players and parents that the championship game was played on Wilson’s home turf, it didn’t detract from a fun match and a great season.

Thanks to all parents and staff for supporting the team all season long.
