The British are coming!

From October 20 to 27, Walls will welcome 13 students from Monkwearmouth School in Sunderland, England, to experience life as high-school kids in DC. This is the third time the school has sent students to Walls.

Humanities teacher Shakir Ghazi is looking for Walls families who can host these students, which involves providing a bed, breakfast, lunch (packed), and dinner, as well as a warm and comfortable home atmosphere. (The students also have the option of purchasing lunch rather than bringing it from home.) The students will shadow your student for two of the school days during that week, and will explore DC on the other days. Your student is invited to participate in these excursions whenever they’re not attending school.

Mr. Ghazi needs to place 8 girls and 5 boys, aged 14 and 15. Once he receives profiles of the students, he will forward them to host parents so they can choose a student.

Please contact Mr. Ghazi if you’d like to learn more.
