What is the Jabberwock?
The Jabberwock Cotillion is a venue for presenting debutantes in high school after learning proper social behaviors and participating in other enriching workshops over the course of one year. It is a major fund-raising initiative for the sorority. Through the fund-raising efforts of the Jabberwock, the sorority is able to provide scholarships to the contestants and other deserving students in the community.

Chloé along with her escort, fellow classmate School Without Walls Junior Marcus Powell, participated in workshops on money management, etiquette, style and health, to name a few. The debutantes gave back to the community by volunteering in January 2012 at the Join Us for We Feed Our People National Day of Service for the King Holiday.

Chloé received an award for the “Best Kept Journal’” that reflected her experience in being a part of the Cotillion and an award for being “Top Overall Debutante” selected by the organization. With her title of Miss Jabberwock, Chloé will have the opportunity to be the spokesperson for the organization over the next two years at different community and civic activities throughout the DC area.

Congratulations, Chloé!
