SWW Girls Field Hockey Gear Up This Summer for the Fall Season

The practices happen twice a week, once with assistance from players on the GWU field hockey team, and once without. When the Walls team practices with the GW players at the school’s Mount Vernon Campus, they work on skills, endurance, and basic drills to keep them in shape. As a result, the team will be poised to accomplish more in the upcoming season and it will also allow them to play schools with greater skill levels more effectively. Not only is this opportunity fantastic for skills practice, but it’s also a wonderful team-bonding experience.

A typical summer practice includes running and stretching to gain endurance and develop stronger abilities by the time fall comes around and official practices start for the league. Basic drills are also included to improve on existing skills and scrimmages. These summer practices will help make the Walls field hockey team better and stronger players for next fall’s second season.
