The George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Science is pleased to announce the opportunity for academically talented high school students to pursue a meaningful summer research experience with practicing scientists and engineers at Analytic Services, Inc (ANSER) in Arlington, VA. GW has partnered with ANSER to offer this experience for over 10 years, and we are looking for students who have the potential to pursue successful careers in science, engineering and mathematical fields. Students receive a stipend of $2000 for the eight week summer research experience. The program dates are June 24 – August 16, 2013.
Selection will be made according to the following criteria:
- strong interest in science, engineering, mathematics and computer applications;
- science and mathematics courses taken and grades attained;
- scores on national standardized tests;
- teacher recommendations;
- extracurricular interests and activities.
- personal statement of goals and career interests.
