School Without Walls Town Meeting, Sunday, Feb. 10, from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Posted on: February 1st, 2013 by Jennifer Boulanger

DCPS Chancellor Kaya Henderson announced on Jan. 17 that the Francis-Stevens Education Campus would merge with School Without Walls, allowing “the high performing School Without Walls to expand its grades and manage a neighborhood boundary education campus at the Francis-Stevens building”

SWW Principal Richard Trogisch has formed a task force comprised of representatives of SWW constituences and stakeholders to help guide the process. All options and ideas will be considered on a going forward basis.

As a result, we invite members of the SWW community – students, facuilty, staff, parents and DCPS officials – to join us for a “Town Meeting” on Sunday, Feb. 10, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. For planning purposes, you must register by COB on Wednesday at the following link to attend: swwtownhall.eventbrite.com

The meeting format will enable all participants to learn about the Chancellor’s plan and to consider options for implementing it.

Bring a pen and paper. Parking will be extremely limited. We strongly advise taking mass transportation or carpooling. Please note that this event is a limited to the School Without Walls Community and is closed to the media.
