Honors Bump Update

During the November 2 LSAT meeting, Mr. Trogisch presented the status of the school’s efforts regarding honors credits for classes.  The paperwork has been submitted and he is awaiting word from DCPS. See the draft minutes here pending final approval of the LSAT.

2016 Summer AP Assignments

Updated 7/20: New document added to AP Language and Composition. Updated 7/5: “AP Humanities” has been re-labeled Humanities I. Updated 6/28 to add assignments for Humanities and Psychology. All summer AP assignments in the post are in MS Word or PDF format.

Student Recruitment for SY16-17 Japanese Language, Culture, and Career Exposure Program

Program participants will be able to earn world language credit that can be applied towards high school graduation. Beyond a first-class language course, the Japanese Plus program will expose students to a wealth of Japan-related content and experiences, tapping into DC’s many local experts, partners, and resources. Globalize DC promises a fabulous experience, and a lot of fun!

Building Mobile Apps: Free DCPS Workshop, 6/11

Open to all middle and high school students, this course will teach the fundamentals of market research, critical thinking, scientific inquiry, computer programming and interface design to produce a working mobile application for android devices that can be downloaded from the Google Play store.

Freshman Eliyah Lister Excels in B’nai B’rith Writing Contest

June 1: Walls freshman Eliyah Lister won second place and a scholarship in the B’nai B’rith Diverse Minds writing and art contest. Applicants were asked to write and illustrate a children’s book that tells a story of tolerance, diversity or inclusion. Congratulations, Eliyah!
