Information on DC’s Ebola Preparedness

Posted on: October 20th, 2014 by Jennifer Boulanger

The DC Department of Health (DC DOH) has been working hard to prepare for the possibility of patients presenting to DC health care facilities with symptoms consistent with viral hemorrhagic fever, such as those caused by the Ebola virus. Throughout this effort, DC DOH has been in close communication with local and national health care facilities and public health organizations. DC DOH also is in frequent conversation with DCPS’s Office of Youth Engagement regarding all school health issues, including communicable diseases. DC DOH has developed an Ebola Information webpage to share information with the public; feel free to share the link with your school community: http://doh.dc.gov/page/ebola-inform. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Diana Bruce, DCPS’s Director of Health and Wellness, at diana.bruce@dc.gov, 202.442.5103 or 202.907.7342.
