2010 Junior Achievement Essay Competition

Junior Achievement of the National Capital Area is pleased to announce the 2010 Junior Achievement Essay Competition, sponsored by David M. Rubenstein. This fall, Junior Achievement invites students from the Greater Washington Region to compete for $100,000 in scholarships and schools to compete for $18,000 in awards.

The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory still has several scholarship opportunities available for the Fall 2010 Young Actors Ensemble class!  Every educator at your school is invited to individually recommend up to three students to audition for a Fall semester. Please pass this information along or recommend students yourself!

DC Benchmark Assessment System to be Administered September 7–9, 2010

Dear DCPS Parent,

On September 7th-9th, our school will be administering an assessment called the DC Benchmark Assessment System (DC BAS).  The assessment is being administered to students district-wide in grades 3-8 and10.  Your child is scheduled to participate in the assessment.
