Our debate team keeps on winning awards. On Nov. 15, Walls joined 30 other DC metro area high schools (214 teams total) at South Lakes High School in Reston for the Washington-Arlington Catholic Forensic League’s second debate tournament for this year. Teams debated the following resolution: “On balance, the benefits of genetically modified foods outweigh the harms.”

Of the 63 Junior Varsity teams, Walls’ four teams won 2nd place (Noa RosinPlotz and William Warren), 6th place (Ramella Suber and Adrian Sohn), 15th place (Jacob Ausubel and Clara McCurdy), and 19th place (Ay Okuleye and Mahler Revsine). Walls’ single Varsity team (Brett Isaacs and Jonathan Wood) came in 38th among 52 teams. Bravo, debaters, and stay convincing!
