Screen Shot 2015-11-04 at 12.24.22 PMThe DCPS Parent Guide App is now available for families to download and use on Android devices. The app was designed to give families easy access to the DCPS curriculum and aligned at-home learning activities found in the DCPS Parent Curriculum Guides.

Four students from McKinley Tech participated in the DCPS App Design Challenge. They were selected from 18 teams representing five schools (Jefferson MS, CHEC, Cardozo EC, Deal MS, and McKinley Tech), and went on to built the app as part of an internship at Accenture. You can read more about the contest on Vincent Baxter’s blog (he’s from DCPS’s Office of Family and Public Engagement). Parents and students also will like this video of the award announcement and interviews with the McKinley team talking a little bit about their process.
