Dear: Mr. Trogisch:

This year six of D.C.‘s own accepted appointments to the U.S. Service Academies. They continue in the tradition of Adm. Cecil D. Haney, an Eastern High School alumnus, and Commander of the U.S. Strategic Command. I am especially pleased to invite you, and to attach an invitation for School Without Walls High School students and their parents, to attend my U.S. Service Academy College Fair and Recognition of District of Columbia students graduating from and going to the Academies, Thursday, June 9th 2016, 6:00 – 8:30 P.M. at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Library, 901 G Street, NW.

Admissions Officers from the U.S. Military, U.S. Naval, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Merchant Marine, and U.S. Air Force Academies, my Service Academy Selection Board and DC Alumni of the Academies will personally meet with each student and explain how students can have a tuition-free education at one of five world-class colleges, while receiving a monthly pay check, full room and board, medical and dental coverage, and opportunities for world travel.

Appointees graduate as commissioned officers with a head start on their chosen careers. Students will have a chance to mix with D.C.’s 2016 appointees to the U.S. Military, U.S. Naval, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S Coast Guard Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academies. The appointees will tell your students how to prepare for Academy nominations and why they chose Academy educations.
