Mr. Ismail has been teaching literature and humanities at Walls for 20 years. He is currently teaching AP Literature and Humanities IV.
Born in Tanzania, he studied world literature and French at the University of Dar-es-Salaam (Tanzania) and the Université de Lille (France), earning a B.A. degree, and comparative literature at the University of Alberta (Canada), earning an M.A. degree. Mr. Ismail has been a Reader (grader) of AP Literature exams with the College Board for the past four years.
One of Mr. Ismail’s passions is eradicating traditional biases and/or cynical attitudes and promoting a humane, cosmopolitan milieu in the SWW community.
