Ms. Denson is currently in her fourth year as an advisor for the DC College Access Program (DC-CAP) at School Without Walls. She plays a pivotal role in the college-access process, supports the counseling department, and promotes and the school’s college-going culture and counseling department. She also serves as DC-CAP Advisor at Duke Ellington School of the Arts.

Ms. Denson counsels students in grades 9 through 12 about the college application process. She builds awareness among freshmen and sophomores of the importance of college, and also counsels juniors and seniors both individually and in groups on college selection and completing admission applications. She helps students and families identify and apply for financial aid.

She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a B.S. in Communication Studies and a minor in African-American Studies, Dance concentration. She is currently pursuing her M.A. in Organizational Communications, with a concentration in Public Affairs communications.
