National Mall between 4th and 7th streets
(north of the National Air and Space Museum)

This year’s Festival:

  •  Basque: Innovation by Culture showcases the creative and innovative spirit of the Basque people, who draw on tradition and culture to face contemporary challenges. The program will feature artists, musicians, dancers, cooks, artisans, language specialists, designers, and engineers from the Basque country and its diaspora in the United States.
  • Sounds of California will present a series of evening concerts as well as daytime performances and activities, offering a glimpse into how musical culture mirrors the movements reshaping the state and the nation today. We will feature artists who contribute to the soundscapes of California, demonstrating the social power of music and cultural heritage.

GET INVOLVED: Volunteers are needed to assist stage managers, help with audiovisual recording of performances, work with participants, provide general administrative support, and much more. Volunteers may also be asked to assist with participants’ arrivals and departures in the days leading up to and following the Festival. You must be 16 years or older to apply. Join us for what promises to be an extraordinary ten days filled with creativity, culture, and community.
